No one likes to hear these words in a restaurant. Customers hate to be disappointed. Servers hate to let their customers down. Restaurant managers and owners hate to see customers leave their establishments less likely to become regulars.
Curtis Farmer was tired of hearing these words, too. As a restaurant cook, he was tired of running out of ingredients. Curtis had worked in one small restaurant after another in the foodie destination city of Richmond, Virginia, and they all had one challenge in common: keeping up with inventory. As a Computer Programming student at J. Sergeant Reynolds Community College, Curtis knew there had to be a better way. So he reached out to his fellow programmer Alex Gourdouros; put together a dream team of web and app developers Cassidy Ryan, Desi Armstrong, Dina Farouk, Kenny Gatling, and Sarah Chapman; and Count Your Eggs Inventory Management System was born.
Count Your Eggs is built from the perspective of people who have worked in restaurants and know what kind of functionality is needed in a fast-paced back-of-house environment. CYE’s straightforward and user-friendly interface is designed to make inventory tracking easy for even the most rushed and least tech-savvy restaurateurs and their employees. Our philosophy at CYE is that better inventory management means more harmony in the back-of-house, more confident servers in the front-of-house, and more full and happy customers at your tables!
